#82 Everything from Milan Design Week
A week with Yves Béhar, Ronan Bouroullec, Ivy Ross, and a rooftop smoke at Cassina
After three weeks back from Milan Design Week I’m just barely getting caught up on life.
The fair was great this year. There were a whirlwind of interesting things to see and experience that were, as always, lined with unexpected encounters.
I was able to pin down Maria Porro, president of Salone del Mobile, who shared all of her insights and background on the fair this year. She graciously sent me off with a box of macaroons to fuel the rest of my day.
I exhibited some of my photos in the Inspired Nuances (I.N.) exhibition in Brera which also featured work by Mercœur and Franck Genser.
I interviewed two Insta-famous designers Pietro Terzini (@pietro.terzini) and Ezequiel Pini (@sixnfive), smoked on the roof of Cassina with Ronan Bouroullec, chatted toilet paper and repopulating the planet with Yves Béhar, and had a surprisingly calm conversation with Google’s Ivy Ross about the future of AI.
Oh, and I photographed the four sites of Alcova.
It was a nice week but I’m glad to be back.
I’ll talk with you next weekend!
